Chapter Activities and Global Engagement
Each of ACP’s 85 chapters are tailored to meet your needs and interests by providing support through advocacy, education, leadership development, and engagement as a local professional home.
This year ACP’s chapters successfully transitioned to hosting hybrid and in-person meetings and events, and continued to strive for and foster an inclusive and active leadership path for our diverse leaders and create more opportunities for engaging Early Career Physicians, Residents and Students.
Chapter Excellence Awards
The Chapter Excellence Award serves as a guide to reach basic expectations in chapter management and inspire chapters through a tiered reward system to achieve excellence. During the third year of the newly redesigned tiered award, 82 award recipients including twenty-five chapters were elevated to a new award tier, in addition to 45 Gold Level Chapters, 13 Silver Level Chapters and 24 Bronze Level Chapters.

As our global community grows, we continue to collaborate with other organizations, and internal medicine societies worldwide on projects and initiatives, including educational programming and participating in key conferences and events. Virtual programming has strengthened partnerships while allowing us to further expand support to the global internal medicine community and this year saw our Global Ambassadors Program exceed previous participation records with 22 ACP leaders, FACPs, and MACPs participating in 16 global internal medicine virtual meetings and hosted two virtual Faculty Development Programs with the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine and the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein (Brazil).
